Tesco vs Squat Skating

13 06 2008

Yesterday our friends at the Mill Road Social Centre were in court contesting the possession order from Tesco, who own the lease on the premises. Despite being awarded said possession order, significant planning restrictions mean Tesco cannot open a store on the site and were forced to concede in court that they have “no use for the premises” at the present time. Fortunately for Mill Road residents the MRSC have plenty of uses for the premises – including ROLLER DERBY. So we’re training until Tesco bring the heavies in – every little helps.
